THE READ 180 PERFORMANCE PLEDGE
When implemented with fidelity, the majority of students will break the cycle of failure and show significant growth in reading, as measured by Lexiles.
Successful implementation of READ 180 is a shared responsibility. For an overview of the responsibilities of Scholastic and its district partners, see below.

All teachers must have actively participated in two full days of implementation training and completed the READ 180 RED online course (included with purchase).
All students receive 125 days of instruction, for 90 minutes/day, including an average of 16 minutes/day on the READ 180 software (as documented by SAM), and full on-model participation in whole group, small group, and independent reading rotations.
All READ 180 classrooms maintain working technology, including peripherals necessary for students' participation, as outlined in Scholastic's Classroom Implementation Rubric and receive promt support when requested from school/district technology support services. Adhere to all other guidelines in the Classroom Implementation Rubric.
Key district leaders participate in leadership training conducted by Scholastic and actively engage in reviewing program metrics throughout the year.

Access to RED online professional development course.
Conduct a tech audit and communicate findings to district instructional and technology leadership.
Access to Web-based technical support and complete technical documentation.
Provide support for development of an implementation plan in consultation with school and/or district leadership (upon request).
Ensure all READ 180 teachers have access to two days of initial implementation training and leadership has access to a half day of initial leadership training.
Maintain an informative Web site that includes program information and a forum for teachers to share best practices.
Deliver additional, purchased implementation and technical support services designed to meet the goals of district leadership upon request.
If the above conditions are met consistently for one academic year, the majority of students will achieve 2.0 years of growth as measured by Lexiles (see table below), or Scholastic will provide the following services at no cost:
- Repeat Day 1 and Day 2 training for all READ 180 teachers
- Five days of coaching
- Five enrollments to the READ 180 National Summers Institute
- Survey teachers and meet with district leadership to review data and recommend course corrections
